Perhaps it was working with the oval body for the bug in the previous image that touched off the association to the whale. I tried duplicating the look of a whale that I had seen off the west coast of Vancouver Island a couple of years ago and had problems until I remembered the partial visibility of the body under water as well as above. The foreground pelican from the original makes a cameo appearance on the first balcony.
