Having
spent a good deal of time colorizing the statue in the
first image, it occurred to me that the opposite course
(that is, reducing the statue to a silhouette) might serve
as the basis of an interesting image. I was reminded of
the cover art from the sci-fi pulp magazines I used to
read and was inspired to use the silhouette as a window
to a nebula. The bench, floor and background were created
in Elements. The nebula is a black and white stock photo
colorized with a spectrum gradient.
