The
embossed logo at the base of the hydrant attracted my
attention and I decided to do something with it -- I reproduced
it and added three rotated copies, then made it 3D using
alt-move nudges. At this point it began to look like a
medal of some sort, so I began to think about uniforms
-- probably spurred on by the hydrant paint job. I found
a picture of a Canadian Mountie and replicated the blouse,
lanyard and leather crossbelt. The pocket and flap are
just selections of the base cloth with an added bevel
and dots for stitching. The rumpling is from the distort>wave
filter applied to the cloth layers with added shading.
Buttons are filled circles with a radial gradient highlight
and an emboss style. The belt and lanyard are filled rectangular
selections with emboss and bevel styles.
