The plastic pink flamingo, such a stereotype of the 1950's, reminded me of the neon bar signs of an earlier era. Here I tried to recreate a 40's style neon sign. I applied a pink stroke to the outside of a selection of the flamingo and to the type (the font is Plaza Swash). I built the marquee from a shaded rounded rectangle.
