I'm not keen on spiders, but I went ahead and selected the statue and then its shadow. The regular segments of a spider web must have reminded me of a checkerboard -- in any case, I decided that the stark black and white squares would set off the shadow. The sky and lightning are a blend of a couple of stock images.
