The wooden shoes got me thinking about the variety of terms for them -- clogs and sabots came to mind. Sabot then led to the origins of sabotage (throwing wooden shoes into looms, I believe) and then to this image. The gears and the sabot started as stock images. The font is Mistral with a black stroke and a drop shadow plus a grouped layer with a yellow-red-black gradient for the color.
