I decided to go for a minimalist card -- I began by constructing the bottom bough outline from stroked ellipse sections, then duplicated it, reducing it in size each time and rotating it to a slightly steeper angle. The ornament is just a filled circle with a highlight and some shading. The star is a brush. The font is Rage Italic. The starry background is a midnight blue field with texture>grain>sprinkles masked by render>clouds. An all black layer underneath provides the 'depth'.
