After cloning away the ivy and the terra cotta pot, I decided to make the elephant into a vase itself. The original was desaturated and recolored to get a uniform appearance, then an 'opening' created in the top with a shaded ellipse. The tulips are multiple layers of Photo Objects with individual shadows. The votive candle is a combination of Photo Objects. The table surface and wallpaper were constructed in Elements.
