The red and white pattern on the biplane's wings reminded me of the Japanese Navy Ensign and the Rising Sun, which in turn led to memories of the song, 'House of the Rising Sun' about New Orleans. Maybe the naval/navel link had an influence there, too. I borrowed a torso from a stock photo and used a desaturated version as a displacement map for the red parts of the pattern so it would appear to lie atop the figure.
