Another participant put the head of the jay on a cat's body, which led me to think of other ways a jay and a cat could interact and then to this image. The feather and bushes are modified Photo Objects. The grass combines a couple of standard brushes. I drew the footprints and made them into brushes, then placed the tracks with an emboss layer style. The 'sand' is a combination of a stucco texture, noise, rendered clouds, the lighting effects filter and a gradient.
