When
I saw the ceramic cat, I thought 'This is not a cat.',
which reminded me in turn of Magritte's paintings done
around the theme that a painting of something is not the
real thing (for example, a picture of a pipe with the
caption, 'This is not a pipe' -- in French, of course).
I decided to fill the outline of the cat with the word
'Cat' in different typefaces. Somewhere along that path,
it occurred to me that it might be interesting if one
had a glass cat with type in different colors embedded
in it. The different colored type was achieved by grouping
a layer of the original cat with the type layer. The glass
look came from a One-Click Wow layer effect. The table
is a fill transformed with the perspective tool. The background
is a combination of a sky gradient and rendered clouds
using colors picked out from the gradient.
