The tropical theme is extended here -- I was attempting to capture the interior of a grotto with beams of light coming down through the vegetation into the water. The arch and exterior waves are stock photos blended together. The ferns are altered Photo Objects. The water consists of several layers of rendered clouds modified with the light effects and ripple filters. The light beams are created with a white layer and a black mask with the beams selected using the polygon lasso, feathered and filled with white. The light areas in the water beneath the beams are blurred white ellipses in a separate layer above the water layer and set to overlay mode.
