Rather
than bunnies or eggs, I decided to go with a theme drawn
from the religious side of the holiday. Good Friday inevitably
reminded me of the Crucifixion and led to this image --
a view from the rear of the Cross looking past the crown
of thorns. The cross was constructed of polygons filled
with a wood pattern. I made a prototype thorn with the
pen tool, then applied a bevel layer style and altered
the shape and orientation of the individual thorns. The
hair is one of Nagel's brushes. The sky/halo is a custom
radial gradient. The overall look is poster edges, which
I seem to be using a lot lately.
