This
week's Challenge was to produce a graphic honoring the
Challenge itself and its host and organizer, Grant Dixon.
The bowing man started as a Photo Object -- I turned it
into a silhouette and added a home brew outer glow partly
masked by a bottom to top gradient. The butterflies are
a brush and a reference to the swallowtail box theme of
the latest edition of Photoshop Elements. The sunburst
was created from a block of black and white, the stylize>wind
and distort>polar filters and a color fill. The text
is taken from the gladiatorial dedication to Caesar in
ancient Rome (We who are about to die salute you -- in
Latin, of course). I went back and forth between substituting
'design' or 'draw' for 'die', but settled on 'draw' to
match the syllable count. The font is Goudy Old Style.
