I saw a display in a local megaplex advertising the upcoming Narnia movie -- a life-size wardrobe opening up onto a three dimensional snowy path -- and it occurred to me that the kiosk could also be a portal into another world. The doors are sections of the kiosk flipped horizontally (so you see the 'back') and curved by masking portions of the top and bottom. I added a hinge, a little thickness, some reinforcing ribs, shading and a drop shadow. The girl and the street lamp are modified Photo Objects and the snowy scene is a modified stock photo from the Big Box of Art. I added a glow with lighting effects and the star with a brush. The frame is a just a pillow embossed selection filled with yellow -- the pitted surface was created with texture sprinkles blurred and then embossed.
